Orka, or the beauty of instruments found in a Faroese barn
How many musicians from the Faroe Islands do we know? If we think very hard, we might come up with Teitur, the singer, the king of melodic singer-songwriter quirkyness.
But there´s more. There´s Orka. Who started making music with objects they found in a barn. Eerie. Unpredictable. Violent. Poetic. Somehow like a splash of cold cold Atlantic water when hovering too close to the beach in November.
Very much looking forward to hopefully see them live at last at Eurosonic festival in Groningen later this week.
